Moving into the renewed GIRO office building

The construction of the GIRO Zrt. office building has been completed and the building has been handed over, so from mid-February colleagues of GIRO Zrt. will continue their work in the renovated space!

Throughout the redesign and project management, which involved 24 disciplines, we actively used the tools of digitalization in the construction industry, which also enabled keeping track of the communication between the project participants.

This allowed them to make the best use of their knowledge through well-organized, disciplined teamwork so that the entire project could be delivered on time and within budget.

During the BIM project:

• the building was scanned, and from the point cloud model we created a 3D version of the existing condition in Autodesk Revit, providing the elements with the appropriate information;
• we defined the design based on the spaceplan and the design plan, and also we created photorealistic visual plans;
• the tender was carried out on a CDE interface, where the participants could query and walk through the area to be redeveloped in 2D/3D/AR;
• the up-to-date model and plans stored in the CDE environment were continuously available on-site in 2D/3D/AR, supporting the contractors’ installation and construction work;
• the current status was regularly scanned, and changes or modifications were handled within the closed system of the CDE environment in collaboration with the contractor, speeding up change management and facilitating error prevention and correction;
• changes are 100% back-integrated into the model, resulting in an as-built model at the end of construction that reflects the current state.

The client’s open-minded approach to the BIM solutions we delivered, with an environmentally conscious, modern IT and business management approach, contributed greatly to the success of the project. We were able to effectively manage the necessary changes and their consequences together with the contractor Emel Kft and its subcontractors.
