The VALUETEAM podcast with Csaba Livják
- September 6, 2023
Two podcasts, six months apart, yet it feels like 5 years have passed. Csaba Livják attended for the second time in a bonus episode of the VALUETEAM podcast series.
In the bonus episode of the podcast series “Exceptional SMEs” of the VALUETEAM organizational development team, Anna Fodor-Maksai, the professional leader of VALUETEAM, talked to Csaba Livják again. The aim of the podcast series is to showcase excellent SMEs in a way that not only allows us to get to know them but also to learn as much as possible from them.
“The world is so buzzing with digitalization and the changes it’s bringing, that we couldn’t resist doing another podcast on the subject this year” the creators introduce the second programme. In the weeks following the recording of the first part in November, ChatGPT burst into the public consciousness, and a few months later the Parliament voted the law on the order of public construction projects, which triggered an avalanche of changes in the already turbulent digitalization of the construction industry.
In the episode, among many other things, we hear a frank confession from Csaba Livják, founder and CEO of BuildEXT, who feels himself on a cliff between two precipices: “On one side is the analog side of the Hungarian construction industry, and on the other side is the synthetic reality driven by digitalization“. While both are within arm’s reach, they pose completely different challenges in the life of the company, which fundamentally determines both the opportunities for domestic development and the company’s scope for maneuver.

Family home design will be
a six-dollar app in a few years.
The program discusses the changes in the architecture profession and the challenges of the future, driven by the growth of computing power and the rise of AI.”Designing buildings is going to be the privilege of a few people in a few years… as models using big databases come out, a simple single-family house design will be one of those six-dollar apps in a few years I think.“, the CEO said on the subject, and on the attitude to development, he later added: “in fact, there are no rules, no prescriptions for the future. There is one thing: you have to go for it and do it. And we have to accept that we will face a lot of problems.”
