The closed system is able to provide information to several partner departments (e.g. finance, procurement, senior management, etc.) with a high degree of automation. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>digital twin is fully navigable<\/strong> in virtual space and this makes it clear what is where, what it looks like and what its features are. Data and documents can be recorded for assets and locations, and reports and statistics on their operation can be retrieved. model and the &#8220;<a href=\"#mi-az-as-built-modell\">as-built<\/a>&#8221; model, which represent different phases and stages in the construction process and the <a href=\"https:\/\/buildext.com\/en\/bim\/#mi-az-a-digitalis-eletciklus\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"14333\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lifecycle of the building<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mi-az-as-designed-as-planned-modell\">What is the <strong>as-designed (as-planned) model<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n<p>It reflects the <strong>design status of the building<\/strong>; it is based on the architectural, structural, building services, etc. plans, includes all the planned elements and systems, helps with visualisation of the plans, conflict analysis, <a href=\"https:\/\/buildext.com\/en\/bim\/#koltsegbecsles-koltsegvetes-5-d-bim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cost<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/buildext.com\/en\/bim\/#utemtervezes-4-d-bim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">time<\/a> planning and many other roles. <\/p>\n\n<p>Since it contains preliminary ideas and plans for the building, rather than details of the completed building, its content is very <strong>different from the actual state<\/strong>. It is based on an &#8220;as-designed&#8221; or &#8220;as-planned&#8221; model, but <strong>includes changes and modifications to the construction<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>During construction, engineers and contractors work together to update the model to match the as-built condition, using <a href=\"https:\/\/buildext.com\/mi-a-scan-to-bim\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"14744\">laser scanning<\/a>, drones and other technologies.
