2024. The Proptech Innovation NOW Conference, the innovation and technology event of the Hungarian real estate market, will take place for the fifth time on 16 May. Breaking with tradition, this year for the first time the organizers are inviting experts, innovators, and interested parties from the fields of proptech, real estate, construction, BIM and contech to a full-day professional programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Digital transformation<\/h2>\n\n

The real estate market is undergoing the most significant transformation in 50 years, with digitization affecting the entire vertical.”The digitalization of the real estate market is no longer in the future, but in our everyday lives, right in front of our eyes. Although both construction and real estate are lagging behind other sectors, we see that many market players are already working to digitize their organizations, often under the radar. We want to highlight and showcase their work to promote innovation in the Hungarian real estate sector.<\/em>” – said Zolt\u00e1n Kalm\u00e1r, founder of Proptech Hungary, which is organizing the event for the fifth year.<\/p>\n\n

Digital transformation is an integral part of the real estate market, where Hungary has significant catch-up potential. Proptech Innovation NOW<\/a> aims to showcase market players who are already actively digitising their own organisations and share the keys to their success.<\/p>\n\n

Focus on practice<\/h2>\n\n

Within the framework of the conference, the organizers will focus on the challenges and solutions of four main segments – design, construction, rental, and operation – covering the entire value chain of the real estate market. For a practical approach, case studies, presentations, workshops, and exhibitions will showcase the path from reality to implementation, good practices, and lessons learned.<\/p>\n\n

More than ever before, time, efficiency, and measurability have been valued, and the digitalization that enables this has been introduced in many companies. ESG has also pushed operators to collect more and more data about their real estate and their company. Community services are spreading (office, parking, work desk), more and more projects are running in BIM and more and more people are equipping their properties with various IoT devices and smart sensors, all pushing us towards measurability and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n

Speaking of data, this is the first year that the digitalization of the construction industry, Contech and BIM (Building Information Modelling) will have their section. Alternatives to letting include the functional operation of the property, the introduction of new products (such as built-to-rent), or the conversion and refurbishment of office buildings (such as retrofit), which in many cases involves ‘smarting’ in addition to traditional renovation. Operation is also becoming increasingly valued, since after handover, it is the operators who have the most information about the property, its use and its efficiency, needs and their changes.<\/p>\n\n
